FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know to manage your team.
Getting started
What does "beta" mean, and what happens when the game goes live?
The game is in beta: you can play right now. When we go live, your team, your riders, your unopened packs and your money are kept. Only the rankings and race history are reset, for a fair competitive start. We will not wipe everything.
Is the game free?
Yes, and it always will be. UCM is free to play, with no pay-to-win: paying will never give you a competitive advantage.
How long does a season last?
A season lasts 30 days.
Earning & progressing
How do I earn money?
Mainly from race prize money (based on your results and the race level) and from completing your season objectives.
How do I earn points?
Points come from your results in races (depending on the race level). They set your ranking within your division.
How do I move up to a higher division?
At the end of each season, the top 3 teams in your division are promoted to the division above, and the bottom 6 are relegated to the division below. It works the same way in every division.
Riders & training
How does training work?
Each day, your riders train toward the ceilings set by their profile and potential. Progress depends on age (young riders improve faster), potential, your trainer and doctor, the rider's fatigue, and the specialization you choose, which focuses the gains. Racing brings form to its peak, while rest recovers fatigue.
Are the riders in the game based on real professional cyclists?
No, all riders in the game are fictional and are not based on real professional cyclists. We will see in the future if we can add real cyclists in the game.
Races & market
When are races simulated?
Every day at 16:00 (UTC).
How do transfers work?
Transfers use an eBay-style auction with a hidden maximum bid (proxy bidding): you set your maximum, and the system bids only the minimum needed to keep you in front.
What are packs?
Card packs that you open to add new riders to your team.
Account & rules
Is it possible to have multiple accounts?
No, it is not allowed to have multiple accounts as it would be considered unfair to other players. Each team is expected to have only one account and managing multiple accounts is strictly prohibited.
What happens if I don't have enough money to pay my staff salaries?
Your balance can go negative: you go into debt. Keep an eye on your budget: a roster and staff that are too expensive can put you in the red.
